Working conditions

- Attendance
Our daily core attendance hours are 7 hours and 25 minutes. Flex time allows you to vary your start and finish times around agreed core attendance hours. Where operationally possible, flex time may be accrued for work in addition to the core hours. This accrued time may then be taken at a later date as negotiated with your Manager.
In recognition of the additional 1 hour 20 minutes worked in each four week settlement period, employees will be provided with paid time off for two days between Christmas and New Year’s Day, which would otherwise be working days.

CRS Australia has comprehensive leave provisions including long service, personal, recreation, defence reservist, adoption, maternity and paternity, and leave without pay in special circumstances. In addition, staff returning from maternity leave will be supported through a graduated return to work programme which applies for a two year period from the date of birth of the child. Staff also have the option of purchasing additional leave (following 12 months service) of up to 4 weeks subject to operational requirements.

CRS Australia offers competitive salaries which are reviewed annually in our Certified Agreement 2005-2008 (PDF - 295kb). Salary scales are set out in the Certified Agreement. Salaries are specific to CRS Australia however are classified in accordance with the Australian Public Service levels and designations. In 2008, CRS Australia will commence negotiation on a new Collective Agreement.

Salary packaging allows eligible staff to take their annual salary as a mix of cash and approved benefits. A range of benefits may be available including additional superannuation, novated leases, airline lounge membership, computer software and home office equipment, development travel, professional memberships, laptop/PDA, newspaper and periodicals subscriptions, and salary packaging advice.

As an Australian Public Service Agency, CRS Australia offers generous superannuation benefits to staff up to 15.4%. As a CRS Australia employee you will have the choice of your own superannuation scheme or access to the Public Sector Superannuation scheme managed by ComSuper. You can select your level of contributions with investment options to suit your own investment objectives.
As a CRS Australia employee, you will have the choice of your own ATO-eligible superannuation scheme.

Our Performance Achievement System (PAS) supports career development and recognises and rewards our staff for their contributions to the organisation’s strategic objectives. Increases in remuneration and individual development are linked to the Performance Achievement System.

If you have had previous employment with another Australian Government Department, State Government Department or a recognised Government Business Enterprise (GBE) you may be eligible to have this employment recognised for certain leave purposes.
