Vic/Tas businesses rewarded for diversity and safety

Four businesses from Victoria and one business from Tasmania won CRS Australia Employer Awards last night, for their outstanding commitment to disability employment and workplace safety. These businesses were presented their awards by CRS Australia’s General Manager, Margaret Carmody, and Vic/Tas Divisional Manager, Denise Frederick, at the 2010 Victoria and Tasmania Employer Awards ceremony held at Federation Square in Melbourne.
In the disability employment category, winning employers are selected based on their creativity, innovation and commitment to providing training and employment opportunities for people with a disability, injury or health condition.
For the injury prevention category, winners are selected based on their outstanding commitment to providing a safe work environment for their employees.
Denise Frederick, Vic/Tas Divisional Manager, CRS Australia, said, ‘We acknowledge those employers who see the ability and capability of our job seekers. In looking beyond disability, illness or injury they are rewarded with loyal, committed employees who can provide the workforce capability required.
