Supporting you in work

Congratulations! All your hard work has paid off and you’ve got a job.

CRS Australia will continue to assist you in your work for 6 months to ensure that you are successful in keeping work, and to help with any issues that may arise.

Back to topWorkplace assessment

workplace assessment is the best way to ensure that you are well matched to the job and can perform the duties safely. It can help identify any modifications or equipment you may need, and set up suitable duties.

During a workplace assessment we will discuss what support you may need  with your employer.

Back to topWages and conditions

Wages and conditions are generally checked by comparing the duties of the job and employment offer to the relevant award, workplace agreement or industry norm. This also includes checking other conditions of the job including superannuation, occupational health and safety systems.

Back to topDisclosing disability

By the time you begin work, you will have discussed disclosing your disability with your rehabilitation consultant and be comfortable with your decision.

Back to topMonitoring and support

CRS Australia will keep in close contact with you once you begin the job. This is important to ensure that you are successful in work. It is best if CRS Australia has some contact with the employer to ensure that the job is safe and sustainable and you are not at risk of re-injury or other harm.

CRS Australia will set up a monitoring plan with you about  the type and frequency of contact, and other support strategies to ensure your success at work.

CRS Australia can help you to settle quickly into your new job by ensuring you have received information and/or training on:

  • appropriate work behaviours
  • what to expect and how to plan for your first day on the job
  • getting on with others and communication skills
  • adjustment to work life
  • time management
  • what agencies you need to tell and what information to give them.
