Back to topWhat is an ergonomic assessment?
CRS Australia’s ergonomic assessments are tailored to meet your business needs. Our aim is to deliver simple, practical solutions to help reduce risks in your workplace.
We consider the relationship between the worker and their duties, work practices, work systems, the area where the work is performed and the work environment.
Our ergonomic assessment options include:
| Brief Ergonomic Screening | This screening is preventative in nature. It is used when an employee begins work or moves to a new area so requires assistance with setting up their workstation. |
| Comprehensive Ergonomic Assessment | This is a thorough, investigative assessment and would be required when an employee is experiencing issues or discomfort associated with their work/workstation. |
| Home-based Work Assessment | This is proactive assessment and helps an employer to fulfil legal obligations for workplace health and safety when the home environment becomes the workplace. |
Back to topWhat is a risk assessment?
CRS Australia’s risk assessment provides a logical and systematic approach to managing risks in your workplace.
The assessment:
- identifies hazards in a workplace, task, system or process.
- considers the level of risk associated with each hazard.
- recommends risk control strategies to either eliminate or reduce the level of risk.
- provides guidelines for evaluating and reviewing the process so that the risk has been effectively eliminated or reduced and no new hazards have been introduced.
We will liaise closely with you, the employer, and your designated staff throughout the assessment.
Back to topWhat is a workplace assessment?
CRS Australia’s workplace assessment is a specialised on-site assessment that helps in the development of a return to work programme. We assess a worker’s duties prior to their injury and/or potential alternative duties.
A workplace assessment:
- identifies the inherent physical / psychological / cognitive demands of a job
- determines the suitability of pre-injury or alternate duties
- ensures an appropriate match of individual ability with job demands to facilitate a safe return to work
- determines the need for workplace modifications or equipment
- provides preventative strategies and advice to minimize potential work injuries.
