Back to topMedical restrictions
If you need to get an injured worker with medical restrictions back to their job, CRS Australia can help.
Our workplace assessment identifies suitable duties for the injured worker and allows for appropriate and safe upgrading to occur over a period of time. Suitable duties are the parts of a job designed to allow an early return to work.
CRS Australia will:
- clarify the person's medical restrictions
- match the person's work capacity to the job demands
- negotiate suitable duties and hours with the relevant parties
- draw up the return to work programme / suitable duties programme
- obtain the treating doctor's approval
- undertake regular monitoring
- increase the hours and duties as appropriate until full duties or alternative employment is achieved
- provide appropriate support.
Finding an alternative job
If a worker was injured in an accident at work and is unable to return to their job due to the permanent restrictions, CRS Australia can assist to find suitable alternative employment.
Vocational counselling can be provided to identify what occupations would be suitable. If a worker has to seek an alternative job, our staff will identify options that:
- are physically and psychologically appropriate
- use the worker?s existing skills
- are available in the labour market
- are cost effective.
With over 65 years of experience in placing people in employment to draw on, we are ideally placed to help workers who cannot return to their existing duties.
Our network of employer contacts can help us to find that job, whatever duties are required. Our professional staff can provide the practical and motivational help that injured workers need to find alternative employment.
This includes assistance with resume preparation, job seeking skills and interview skills to ensure that they are successful.
