Queensland local businesses win CRS Australia Employer Awards

Eight businesses from Queensland won CRS Australia Employer Awards last night, for their outstanding commitment to employing people with disability and workplace safety. These businesses were presented their awards by CRS Australia’s General Manager, Margaret Carmody at the annual CRS Australia QLD Employer Awards at Rydges South Bank, Brisbane.

Winning employers are selected based on their creativity, innovation and commitment to providing training and employment opportunities for people with a disability, injury or health condition.

The winner of the injury prevention category was selected based on their outstanding commitment to providing a safe work environment for their employees.
Ms Carmody said, ‘Congratulations to these employers. They have demonstrated a strong commitment to workplace diversity and an understanding of the benefits this can bring to their business.

‘The partnership between employers, job seekers and CRS Australia leads to success for individuals and the broader community. We thank these employers for their ongoing support,’ added Ms Carmody.

The following eight winners were announced on Monday 29 November:

Small Business

  • Truck Moves Australia, Goodna, QLD  

Injury Prevention Award

  • Ergon Energy, Cairns, QLD

Medium Business

  • Prins Willem Alexander Village, Capalaba, QLD  

Champion Award

  • Sandy Hocking,Trinity Petroleum, Cairns
  • Vicki Eichholzer, Australia Post, Hervey Bay, QLD

Large Business

  • Wilson Security, Capalaba, QLD
  • Rockhampton Regional Council, Rockhampton, QLD
