Professional services to assess your needs
Assessment services are activities that may be included in your plan that help to define your needs.
Before an assessment takes place, CRS Australia will:
- explain why the assessment is needed and what it will involve
- get relevant reports or background information from other people assisting you (with your permission).
During the assessment, information may be gathered by:
- talking with you
- asking you questions
- asking you to fill out a form
- observing you doing tasks and recording your performance.
The main types of assessments that CRS Australia may provide are:
Vocational assessment
A process of finding out what job goal best suits you by assessing your work skills, interests, the jobs that you prefer, and your ability to learn new skills.
Functional capacity evaluation
Identifies your physical abilities and restrictions to help work out the type of job best matched to you.
Workplace assessment
An assessment in the workplace to find out if the work environment and job tasks are suited to you or if changes can be made for a better job match.
After an assessment, CRS Australia will write a report, talk through the recommendations with you and provide a copy of the report to relevant people. Recommendations made will assist you in preparing for work, for example:
