NSW/ACT local businesses win CRS Australia Employer Awards

Seven businesses from New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory won CRS Australia Employer Awards last night, for their outstanding commitment to employing people with disability and workplace safety. These businesses were presented their awards by CRS Australia’s Deputy General Manager, Carl Princehorn at the annual CRS Australia NSW/ACT Employer Awards at the Telstra Experience Centre, Sydney.
Winning employers are selected based on their creativity, innovation and commitment to providing training and employment opportunities for people with a disability, injury or health condition.
For the injury prevention categories, winners are selected based on their outstanding commitment to providing a safe work environment for their employees.
Mr Princehorn said, ‘Congratulations to these employers. They have demonstrated a strong commitment to workplace diversity and an understanding of the benefits this can bring to their business.’
‘The partnership between employers, job seekers and CRS Australia leads to success for individuals and the broader community. We thank these employers for their ongoing support,’ added Mr Princehorn.
The following seven winners were announced on Thursday 16 September:

Medium Business Award

Large Business
- Toll in2store & Toll Personnel, Homebush Bay
Injury Prevention Award
- Department of Finance and Deregulation, Parkes, ACT
- Oracle, North Ryde
Innovative Partnership
- Australian Business Limited Apprenticeships Centre, Wollongong
Champion Award
- Zane Scott, Department of Environment Climate CHange and Water, Sydney
CRS Australia, formerly known as Commonwealth Rehabilitation Services, is part of the Australian Government Department of Human Services. It provides disability employment and assessment services to people with a disability, injury or health condition and recruitment, injury prevention and injury management services to employers.
