NSW workplaces rewarded for diversity and safety
24 September 2009
Eleven NSW businesses who have demonstrated a commitment to providing training and employment opportunities for people with disability have been recognised at this year’s CRS Australia NSW/ACT Employer Awards.
L-R: Jacci Young, CRS Australia's NSW/ACT Divisional Manager with Lend Lease ICT employers Loraine McKay and George Jigalin.
Winning employers ranging from large corporations to small local businesses integrated CRS Australia job seekers into their businesses through a flexible and supportive partnership that has reaped benefits for all parties.
Margaret Carmody, General Manager, CRS Australia, says, ‘Taking on a job seeker from CRS Australia is positive for everyone – it means that businesses obtain enthusiastic job seekers who have been carefully matched to the job. It also means the job seeker achieves their goals, fulfils their potential and contributes to the local community. The positive benefits of work are life changing’.
Two businesses were also recognised for their outstanding commitment to providing a safe work environment for their employees.
‘Increasing the commitment to safety in the workplace for employees provides enormous benefit to your business,’ says Margaret.
