CRS Australia operates within the following Commonwealth legislation.

  • Disability Services Act 1986
    The Disability Services Act 1986 (DSA) provides the context in which CRS Australia provides rehabilitation services.
  • Freedom of Information Act 1982 
    The objective of the Freedom of Information Act 1982 is to allow individuals access to information which is in the possession of Ministers, departments and public authorities.

  • Privacy Act 1988 
    The Privacy Act 1988 aims to prevent Commonwealth agencies from misusing information about members of the public.
  • Financial Management and Accountability Act 1997 
    The Financial Management and Accountability Act (FMA) 1997 is Commonwealth legislation which sets out how government departments and agencies will make financial decisions and payments.
  • Disability Discrimination Act 1992
    The Disability Discrimination Act aims to eliminate, as far as possible, discrimination against persons on the ground of disability in areas such as work, accommodation, education and leisure.
