22 April 2010

Carl Princehorn, Deputy General Manager, CRS Australia, today officially opened CRS Australia’s refurbished Ballina office.

The Ballina office located at Level 1, Northern Star House, 191 River Street was recently refurbished to provide improved services and programs for people living in the Ballina region. In addition to delivering Disability Employment Services, the CRS Australia Ballina office provides a range of other valuable services such as return to work programs, ergonomic workstation assessments, manual handling training, Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) and OHS risk management and consultancy services.

‘CRS Australia has strong links with the local community, including community and health organisations, to ensure Ballina’s disability employment needs are met,’ said Carl Princehorn.

CRS Australia has also forged strong working relationships with local employers such as North Coast Information Technology (NCIT).

Ari Palsson, NCIT’s Operations Manager, cited professional service and support as key benefits of their relationship with CRS Australia.

‘I found CRS Australia to be extremely professional and compassionate and felt supported by them,’ Mr Palsson said. ‘The number one comment I would say to other employers is, don’t be apprehensive to take on CRS Australia job seekers as they are reliable and loyal employees.’

Carl Princehorn explained, ‘The refurbished office provides ease of access to our employment services. We’re able to effectively cater for employers with staffing needs as well as our job seekers in their search for suitable jobs.

‘More space for functional assessments and group-based services along with a more modern design are just a few of the benefits of the renovations.

‘CRS Australia has an expert team of consultants who work with job seekers to help them understand their strengths, obtain new skills and build their confidence so they are ready to enter employment and live independently’.

CRS Australia, formerly known as Commonwealth Rehabilitation Services, is part of the Australian Government Department of Human Services. It provides disability employment and assessment services to people with a disability, injury or health condition and recruitment, injury prevention and injury management services to employers.

CRS Australia believes a job is more than just employment: it provides hope, belonging, confidence and independence. Nationally, CRS Australia helps over 60,000 job seekers towards meaningful employment each year.
