Saving money and time
Rent WA is a small West Australian business that hires out vehicles such as trucks, cars and utilities.
In late 2006, with seven employees and business growing steadily, manager Mick Lenderink needed to hire more staff. He found advertising for employees in newspapers costly and ineffective.
Having heard of CRS Australia through a friend, Mick contacted the Midland office to find out what help was available to find the right staff.

Rehabilitation Consultant, Nannette, worked with Mick to understand the duties involved in each of the positions and the type of staff he was looking for.
‘He was not concerned if the person had a disability or what their background was, as long as they had the right attitude and would do a good day’s work,’ says Nannette.
Nannette identified three job seekers who were potential candidates for the positions and discussed their work capacity with Mick, to ensure adjustments could be made where necessary. The job seekers were employed and are still working for Rent WA.
‘The most important thing in running a small business is having staff that work well together and who want to do a good job,’ says Mick.
Mick is a strong supporter of employing people with disabilities and has recommended CRS Australia to other employers. As a result, two additional job seekers have found work… and another employer is happy!
Mick says, ‘Since contacting CRS Australia we’ve not looked back! We no longer have to advertise, which saves us money and time. The best part is that we know we are getting enthusiastic and reliable employees who want to work.’
